I am Mahesa Ferdinan. A New York-based filmmaker and visual artist
currently studying at Eugene Lang College, The New School. I was born in Bogor and
later raised in Jakarta, Indonesia.
I aim to bring a cross-cultural lens to my work, blending Southeast Asian
sensitivity with the edge of New York cinema. My work is moody, expressive,
and poetic, driven by visuals and emotional nuance. I frequently draw my work
from personal experience and memory. To me, it’s less about explaining and more about
showing. I like to believe imagery is one of my primary languages.
I am also the co-founder of Amazefair, an upcoming creative platform.
Through Amazefair and my work, I aim to build a creative legacy defined by intention, craft, and collaboration.
